At the Helix Consultancy we help to run the Cambridge Strategic HR Forum for senior HR practitioners.

Membership

The Forum is for Human Resources practitioners who operate at senior level in medium or large sized organisations. Additionally, the Forum welcomes senior academics specialising in HR as members. People whose main activity is consulting to other organisations are not eligible to join. Annual membership is £100 for the four meetings. Meetings

The Forum meets quarterly at Madingley Hall and other selected venues. Meetings start at 7.30am with breakfast and conclude at 10.30am.  

8 February 2012 - Sustainability and HR

Our speakers are Polly Courtice and Lindsay Hooper from the Cambridge Project for Sustainability Leadership (http://www.cpsl.cam.ac.uk/).  They will be talking about the implications of sustainability for business operations and growth - and the role of leadership in achieving sustainable and resilient business in an increasingly complex operating context.  They will share their experience of working with leading companies internationally. This work has been focussed on building leadership capacity to respond effectively to the challenge of sustainability. They will explore the implications and benefits of this work for HR leaders.

9 May 2012 - Senior Leadership

Our speaker will be Anthony Stanton who will talk about recent research findings on Senior Leadership. This workshop looks at research on chief executives, executive boards and non-executive directors. It shows the senior leadership characteristics and behaviours which have a proven correlation with long-term organisational success.
